I've collected a number of CDs over the years, and I thought I'd collect a CDs worth of mp3s onto one disc that I could easily bring with to listen to as an "official soundtrack" of sorts. So I collected a bunch of songs, rated them on how much I liked them, how long I had liked them, whether they were somehow "significant" in my personal history in someway, and also ranked them so that there would be some diversity in artists, and then go. I tried to pick a list that represented a fairly broad cross section of my entire life -- there are songs that I only listened to as a tiny kid to songs that I just picked up in the last month.

While I tried to mitigate against it, I'm sure the ordering of the songs will be different if I do this again, and there might be some changes in songs on the list as well. But it's good for November, 2000.
